Prayer moves mountains
“If you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you could do anything…”
Here at The Church In Landford we know from experience that God answers prayer. In fact the Bible tells us that if we only asked more often, we would see even more answers in our lives (James 4:2).
If you would like prayer for anything, why not join us on Sunday and we’d be happy to pray with or for you. Alternatively, you could fill out the form here. Any details will stay confidential and you can be assured that we will get on the case for you.
Had an answer to prayer? We’d love to hear how God has been working in your life, so again, please fill out the form and encourage us with your story. Thanks.
How can we help?
Here are just a few of the many stories we have of God answering our prayers in powerful ways. Please read them, be encouraged and we would love to be able to pray for you (and maybe share your story here too)!
I was working in Portsmouth one week and had arranged to travel to Essex to see some family. It got to Friday and so I went to the train station to buy some tickets, and for some reason my card kept on being declined. I had the funds but my card wasn’t working and the bank said that the issue couldn’t be resolved until after the weekend.
I started praying, asking God to help me get to Essex. Mid-prayer my phone started to ring (which I ignored because having two conversations at once is beyond me…). After praying I looked at my phone and my first thought was ‘that’s strange’; a colleague from work who I rarely spoke to had been trying to get in touch. I rang him back and his first words were “How are you getting to Essex this weekend?”. Now I couldn’t remember telling him my plans in the first place, but that’s by the by.
He told me that he was selling his motorbike on Monday and wanted to take it out for one last decent trip, would I fancy being his passenger?
Well, naturally I was shocked. What were the odds?
To cut the story short, he took me to Essex (and back on Sunday) and soon started coming along to an Alpha course that my church was running. I had the privilege of baptizing him about a year later.
Not only did God answer my prayer about getting to Essex, He used it to start my friend ‘Paddy’ on a journey of discovering the joy of knowing God and a life worth living.
